Hello family!  As most of you know I have been going to doctor after doctor trying to get help for my sore tounge and ear.  Well after 4 docs and an ER visit I had an apt. with a brand new doc today and she was wonderful!  She really cared and I didnt feel intimidated like I ususally do with doc.  Anyway she knew what to do right away, she took a scrapping sample from my tounge and she came back and said it is a yeast infection on my tounge and gave me a medicine to help clear it up!  She could not believe that none of those other doctors even tried!  Well anyway, she is 2 miles from my house and I have officially made her my doc!  Got 800mg motrin and it is working good thank God cause I cant handle narcotics.

gday allison, yes you do have to shop around, if you ever need a dentist though, the best time to go, is tooth hurty in the afternoon.smile

One thing I forgot to tell you all,,,there is a lesion on my tounge.  she sent me to a ear, nose, throat doc.  i just got back am a little nervous.  He said next wednesday he is going to do a biopsy on it.  He said with my history of smoking , drinking, and other drugs, not to mention an uncle of mine had tounge cancer he said it is a possiblity I just need to relax until I find out.

Carl had a biopsy on his tongue which turned out fine. Had the offending extra whipped off with the all clear. Good luck, Allison x

Hi Allison,

Well done on getting a new doctor. She sounds great.

Don't worry about the tongue biopsy. My boyfriend had one done about a year ago and he is a heavy smoker and drinks on a regular basis. His results came back clear and he had the lesion taken off and feels great about it now.
