Letting Go of Urgency

One thing at a time.

That's all we have to do. Not two things at once, but one thing done in peace.

One task at a time. One feeling at a time. One day at a time. One problem at a time. One step at a time.

One pleasure at a time.

Relax. Let go of urgency. Begin calmly now. Take one thing at a time.

See how everything works out?

Today, I will peacefully approach one thing at a time. When in doubt, I will take first things first.

From The Language of Letting Go

Thanks, carol. Needed that reminder today. Much to do - housework, yardwork, pay a few bills, wash and clean up a car, a truck AND a bike (whew!) and this is my only day off this week. In the 'old days' becoming overwhelmed with such was a trigger to drink! I still can become overwhelmed, but have found reminding myself of 'one thing at the time' helps & if it all doesn't get done today, well, it will be here tomorrow.

(((hugs)))
