Hey Sweat!!?? Welcome to the AA board. Youre not alone freind. There are a lot of caring and sharing AA people on here.

Feel free to hang out here, share with us your thoughts--your feelings.

Anythings better than picking up a drink.

We are here for you and with you.

Hang in, one day at a time

Hi and welcome to the board. Just to echo what Phil says, you aren't alone, everyone here has gone through the same thing as you are going through now.

Keep on coming back and stick with it one day at a time. It is worth it, and we are here to help and support you.

Best wishes.

Chris.

ditto what they said,,, and add that there is a Step Work board on this site also. This does not substitute for f2f meetings,,,, as we are not having meetings on this section, and we are not doing the tools, principles or anything here. But it is a supportive group, and some reflections are posted and the group is by and large a supportive group. So,,,  keep coming, and do the Step Work board too, and hopefully you will be getting to some f2f meetings soon.

love in recovery,

amanda

Hi Susan

Replied to relapse yesterday, I see it got lost, to bad.  I agree with the rest. U are not unique, I relapsed and stayed out 7 years. Get humble and walk into meeting somehow. You must be willing to go to any lengths. There must be some way to get to a meeting. You got your foot in the door, just by posting here, but there's nothing like face to face when your desperate. u know they reccommend 90 meetings in 90 days. I had to do nearly that when I can back.

 Best to u.

keep posting, read some lititature,  Big book, 12 and 12, Etc

U can do it, we did, one day at a time, One hour a at time, the day I decided to stop

God Bless u  Rick

Thank you for your reply. I am in a very small town and I work 11 - 8 pm. So it makes it really hard to drive all the way to Denver. My husband suggested that I cange jobs and drive to Denver so I can go to meetings. I don't know right now if I want to even go to meetings. I am just starting here and praying that the rest will come in time. I am very scared that I dont want to quit but at the same time I know what can happen. My brain is telling me that it can be different this time that I  can drink just a few and all will be ok. This is all so confusing right now. I can really use alot of feed back

I know one day at a time but sometimes one minuite is to long and the cycle starts all over. It has allmost been 24 hours but I still have the rest of the night. I get off at 10 pm. I pray that I make it till I go to bed tonight.

Thanks

hi, susanne

I hear what you are saying...  it's just hanging a second at a time for now, eh? Okay,, that's a beginning,,, and we are here.  You got some excellent advice,,, that this is a good site, but can't be everything...  it's a beginning, and a good support along with the rest...  literature,, working the Steps..  don't forget our Step Work board,,, cuz it is all about the Steps.

changing jobs is a kind of drastic thing to do. How long does it take you to get to Denvery? hmmm.

Susan  How u doing today??

Here's some phone #'s that mat help you find a meeting, if you want one.  Maybe there's something closer to you ?   Be careful about changing things, stopping the drink is enough.

Maybe there's an early meeting etc.  Pick the nearest location to you, and give a call. You should at least be able to get area schedule information or a booklet.

 Good luck   Rick
