Hey all, bout time I got back here, lol!
Funny how time flies, it definitely has been interesting over the last several months. I'd say that since rehab in January, 2/3 of my time has been sober so far, a few relapses during the stint. I have some good ideas about what has been happening with my brain and a lot of it has to do with TOO MUCH THINKING. I've taken on way too much information in the last months, trying to get too cerebral on the whole addiction thing. Anyways, the good news is that I have been sober (continuously) for over 6 weeks I think and I feel fantastic. I am actually going to a cool 14 day rehab facility, this Sunday, that focuses on group sessions, can't wait. I need that kind of intense immersion right about now. I needed to get kicked off the pity pot as well recently, crazy how perception has everything to do with recovery! I plan on visiting this forum again, like I used to, but will have to wait till I get back from rehab. Apparently we are not allowed to bring laptops with us, I think the place is called "Auschwitz" or something, HA!

Happy to see you.....It sounds as if you've made the connection that our illness is not the alcohol, it's what's between our ears! LOL

Look forward to your ES&H in the near future.

(((hugs)))

Welcome back, Scott! You have been missed & I've been hoping that you're alright after the last few posts you gave us. Keep it Simple! It's a Program that helps you to develop your faith & conscience so thinking can only really warp that at times. It's a Program for the Soul & our thoughts can really get in the way! Good luck with rehab. Open your heart & pray often. Your Higher Power will come shining through for you. Mine does for me. God bless, Daniella x
