Shaking some but finally am trying to get back in the rooms. I at one time done all 12 steps and even sponsored. Sliped and I tell you I was sicker than ever before. One day at a time I know. Take care.

Welcome back Buckeyebear, It does not get any better when we drink. But we get fooled somehow into thinking it will be. We alcoholics are a stubborn lot.

I know how the detoxing is after being sober now for 13 days today. I do not want to go back to that ever again. Use this as your foundation to get well. I am using mine. When I have had thoughts here and there about drinking or going to places, hanging with people and doing things I think of the hangover and it stops the thoughts dead in there tracks.

And I feel the pain and replace it with doing things that are healthy even if it is just in my thoughts of thinking well thoughts. It works.

Good luck dear soul. I am glad you are here. Rosie

Hi-glad you are back. I hope you keep writing-it helps me to hear from people who have gone back out. I have about two and a half years. I away from home and tried to catch a meeting this morning but found an empty clubhouse. That is ok. I know I am not going to drink today.

Hi Buckeye

Good to hear from you, glad you made it back, hang in there, it will get better and better.  and you will feel better and better, one day at a time.

I am saying prayers of support for you, remember, you are not alone, we are here, I like the saying that we are all in the same lifeboat.

((hugs)) Deb

Hi, welcome back and its lovely to meet you.

I came back just under 9 months ago after going back out for nearly 4 years and I was in a heck of a state when I got back.  It took me 4 days in bed to detox and months to get my body anything like well, infact its still not 100% but getting there.

Please keep posting and sharing your E,S & H with us.

Welcome back! I'm so pleased that you made it back.

I went back out drinking after two months sobriety and it was the worst eighteen months of my life!

Please keep posting and letting us know how things are going for you, won't you?

Take care,

Carol
