We are small communities in a rural area. We have a good AA meeting going where I live. I have offered to hold a separate Alanon meeting. We Alanoners are slow to break away from our A's. So another small community wanted to start AA/Alanon. We had 18 tonight. Awesome. I will continue to offer Alanon and hope for the best.
theres nothing wrong with that, i know a bloke in adelaide south australia who started a 12step meeting in a place called marion in their community centre. covering a number of different types of ailments, he started off with 2 and that grew to about 80 in 6 months he was my sponsor in AA for 7 years and he was quite capable of starting something like that up. cheers peter.
