I hope I can keep this up.....even with all the stress at work and my "love life" it's tempting, but I'm really trying. There's a meeting not too far from work Thursday. I will be there.
Keep it simple!!!! There will always be stressors in our lives that make us feel like drinking. You will eventually get to a comfortable spot in your sobriety where the need to drink will be removed. Remember : we drank when we were happy, sad, mad, glad!!!! Any old occasion!!!
Through working the steps and especially going to meetings, we learn to deal with life, "on life's terms" and the desire to hide ourselves in the booze is lifted and we grow... and grow up!!!!
Hang in!

gday tysonmike, as the others have said yes hang in there, be gentle on yourself, and dont allow anyone to put pressure on you that you know you can say no to. if you have an understanding boss if your not self employed talk to him about your life and what your trying to achieve as some bossess have a duty in their roll as a boss to keep their employees problems to themselves or they risk losing their possition, thats not to say you can put the person in a bind you should know what i mean. if you want a natural remedy to help you relax CHAMOMILE TEA is a safe and reliable herb to use ,sold world wide in supermarkets and health food shops. and its good for you as it cleans out the body. in summer place 3 teabags of this herb in a 2 litre container and wait an hour while its in the fridge and the contents of the teabags will desolve in the water despite the fact that you havent heated the water up first, SOMETHING TO DRINK ALL DAY AND IT WILL KEEP YOU CALMER cheers peter.
