This past week my local AA lost a near dear friend. His name is Patrick. He was a light in the dark for many! He touched many lives. He died sober and happy. He is sorely missed but he definately left his mark on all of our hearts! Please pray for his family and friends who are mourning his losss right now. A marvoulous miricle happend due to his death though. I have known his girlfriend for 20 years and we have never really said more than hi and bye. Well this weekend we spent together and really got to know eachother and she is now my dearest friend!! I heard it said in a meeting last week a lady said this G.O.D. = Gift of Disaster. I really relate to that statement! Love to you all! Allison
Allison, Sending hugs and warmth your way. We all have the choice to either pass away drunk, or pass away sober. The latter is so much better for all involved. Thinking of you and Patrick's AA friends and family during this time, and also celebrating another AA life completed well, and moved on to the next "Big Meeting in the Sky".
