OMG!!! I am soooo happy to be able to get back into this site!!!! I had removed Norton Internet Security and installed something else, and my computer was all jacked up for a LONG time, until I was able to get some decent help!! I am going to have to play with my firewall every time I want to get on MIP now, but it is well worth it!!
So how is everyone?? Have come by here and there to read people's updates, but could not log in and post or chat with anyone. Wanda, how are things? Lani, enjoying your deck? Hope you are not working too hard!! Dean!!! Hot down there in FL? How's the house coming along? Doll, hope things have balanced out a bit for you, and I hope that everyone here is having a safe and sober summer.
I am well, still plugging along in sobriety (8 months), working lots of hours, and back to normal around the house now that the stepkids are gone back to Oklahoma. Let's see.... dad was in the hospital, had a heart cath, but he has a clean bill of health now. My dog Scouty had surgery and is fine, and I sliced up the bottom of my big toe, and am gimping around on stitches!! LOL
Sobriety is good, and I could not do what I need to do each day to move forward and enjoy life, if not for recovery. Headed to a meeting this morning, but I wanted to check in first. Being here is like a breath of fresh air!!!!

glad to see you posting/wondering where you've been. Are you planning on meeting up with myself and possibly lani in Akron next weekend? I plan on visiting Dr. Bob's house, which is only open from 12-3pm on either saturday or sunday, preferably saturday. If so get with lani and figure out which day works better. I have to be at the stadium in Canton by 5pm on saturday and sunday
OMG!!! Would LOVE to!!!!!! Yes yes, I will get with Lani, and we will meet up!! Why not the dry club for coffee nearby, we could all meet up and go to Dr. Bob's?? That would be great!!! To be continued....

Welcome back, Joni! I'm glad you're keeping well & busy. All good here in the Pool. Carl has his 1st year Sobriety 27th July so we'll be celebrating with a meeting & then dinner with his Sponsor. Funny thing is I got a call from my ex a few days ago saying he just got his 1st year too & thanked me for my part in that. Very kind of him. All's well that ends well. I think we're both happy in our respective lives. He's still in Sweden & working well. I'm here, sober & having a beautiful relationship that doesn't involve two people hurting each other on a regular basis. Thanks to AA! I am grateful, Danielle x

Wow, so great to be back here.... feels like HOME. LOL
Danielle, I am so very happy for you and your 'boyfriend'. That is just terrific!! And to make it to the level of having dinner with his SPONSOR.... lol..... that is quite a feat, and congratties!!!!
The boys have gone back home now, and I am ready to start saving some money form my new job. I spent EVERYTHING I made on them while they were here!!! No big surprise there, eh? I want to use the program to try to do a little budgetting now, because my house and all it's ills are not going to get any better, or repaired on their own. LOL
The best part of it all, is that I made it through some rough days with the boys SOBER, and I am pushing forward. I also had my 90 day review at work, and came out with great marks. Amazing what can happen when we just don't drink!!
