   It might help me, I'm from the alanon boards. [But I did my share of partying in the '70's ]

Seeing the consequences of this man's addictions---or possible relating to the trouble we get into also.   (we think we are never are as bad as that, but when we take inventory, wow, didn't I do something just like that once? or close to that?)   I almost ended up in ___________.

Hi, I'm an alcoholic living in North Dakota, and my name is Dan.

I haven't actually watched "Clean and Sober", although I do have the CD and am trying to find time to watch it. On the other hand, I also do have "My Name is Bill W" and watched it twice (with my little co-dependant). If your only drug of choice(offense) is alcohol, I would strongly recommend it!! On the other hand if you were strung out on booze AND drugs, it is possible that the former would be a good movie to watch. I suspect that "Clean and Sober" is likely a very good starting point if you have been both drug AND alcohol dependant. "My Name is Bill W" was a fantastic eye-opener for my spouse, even more than it was for me (and it did a LOT to help me see myself in a truer light)!

"28 Days" with Sandra Bullock is another recovery movie that focuses more on rehab. She does a good job expressing the insanity in early recovery.

Thank you all. Now, where should I start looking for these movies. Amazon ? 28 days should be easy, but I am thinking 'My name is Bill W" will be a little more difficult. Any suggestions ?

It was cheap ($6usd) and they NEVER charge S&H. Been buying DVDs and CD's there for years.....
