Hey y'all, it's been awhile since I've stopped in here... life has been a bit crazy (as usual lol). I'm still in Mississippi, I'd thought about moving but it looks like that's not happening now... I've still got my house full of animals - 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds, 4 roosters, 2 guineas, and a turkey
I was dating a guy for awhile and he moved in for a couple of months, he wound up leaving me right before I found out I'm pregnant.... So I'm gonna have a baby! But I'll be a single mom which scares me a bit, but I know a lot of women do it, so I can too. I'm real excited about the baby I've already got names picked out - Rhiannon Nicole or David O'Donel. I'm only maybe a month along, I'll see the dr on the 9th and get my due date then, but I'm figuring it'll be late January or early February. Already working on crocheting baby blankets and switched the bedrooms so that I have the smaller one and the baby can have more room for toys in the bigger bedroom (yeah the baby is already getting spoiled and it's not even born yet! lol)
I'm working on quitting smoking, today is the first day I'm really trying at it. I've done a halfass job of it the past week or so, praying for HP to help me quit, then getting the cravings and not praying or pushing through it, just running out and buying cigs. Well today I have no money for cigs, no gas to go get cigs even if I had money, and I'm trying my hardest to get through the day. I'm using the lozenges, which the dr says is the same as smoking as far as the baby is concerned but it would be ok to use them to get off the cigs, just don't stay on them long, so that's what I'm doing. Trying to not use them as often as it says you can too.
I'm sending in a scholarship application tomorrow for Career Step, an online medical transcription program. I've thought about doing this off and on for the past few years, but had my dreams of the chicken business and never did it. Well now I need something reliable working from home, so I'm planning to go through with transcription. I can finish the program in 4-6 months and then my step-grandma can help me get a job working from home so I can be a stay at home mom.
So there's an update about my crazy life... looks like even at a year sober I still thrive on chaos just a bit huh? lol Well it's time for me to grow up now, 24 and gonna be a mama, I can't keep pretending I'm a kid and depending on daddy to take care of me now.
Hope everyone is doing well, I'll try to check in here more often...
Glad to see you back here. Now, take your vitamins, get plenty of rest, drink alot of fluids (just don't cough too hard), and eat right. (sound familiar?) Remember, your body is the only body your baby has. Now just wait til you are holding that little one in your arms. There is nothing like it. There will never be another love remotely like it. Although, holding my grandkids is close. But you have a loooooong way to go for that one, LOL. Be good to yourself Dear One...chris
Wow, esp or what? Wondering where you and Wren were....... It's so good to have you both back. Agree with Chris......do everything you can to keep that babe healthy which means "mom" has to be doing everything towards her own health. Ain't nothing like it......that is for sure. I have not one iota of regret for taking that step...... 3 times!!! They have been the greatest joys of my life.....and so is my grandson. Daughter was a bit scared too. Now she can hardly wait for the second one. LOL You'll do fine. Look at the way you've doted over those critters of yours. Wishing you the very best and hoping you won't be a stranger around here. Wanda
(((((((Baton))))))) hang in there too, 4 days is great! I haven't even made it one day yet, I always find some way to get cigarettes. Time to just buckle down and say that's it, I'm not buying any more.
((((((((Chris)))))))))) yes mom, I'll take care of myself lol ;) Taking the vitamins and trying to eat healthier and quitting smoking... or workin on it...
((((((((Wanda)))))))))) good to see ya :) yeah, everyone says I'll be a good mom cuz of how I treat my critters, well, they're my kids lol Praying my older dog is ok with the baby, I know she's gonna be a real jealous, but she's getting along great with the newest additions to the family - the puppy and kitten.
((((((((((((Phil))))))))))))) so glad to see you, I've missed you! Hope you're doing alright :)
