HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?

Mine has been good. It started Thursday evening, and I have successfully finished my kitchen updates, cooked, cleaned, grocery shopped, cut and colored my hair for the month (gray hair is upon me!). It has been raining for days, but that is ok with me, because I got a lot done. Looking forward to some much-needed down-time today.

How was your weekend? Hope everyone is having a wonderful sober Sunday!

aww

My weekend's been surprisingly good. Didn't bring home any work, and spent some good time with Dad and family. Have also managed to catch up with old friends from college over mail. Most importantly this is another weekend with full sobriety....

good going Nisha! My weekend isn't over and I'm working hard to finish moving all my stupid stuff, cleaning, painting etc... for renters that I don't have yet. I do have navigable water in my back yard now (gulf of mexico access smile.gif ) so relaxing inbetween is nice but I don't want to go back to work lol.

Glad you all are having a great sober weekend!!!!!
Ive been a busy bee myself and loving having a whole week off!!! We finally finished our deck....Mind you my husband has the biggest "deck" in the neighborhood!!!! Cant even described how big!!!!

Having my sons 15th bday party today so made all the food yesterday and today I get to start staining our deck! Cant wait for that!!!! Good timing there.........

So you all stay cool in the hot zones and spread the sunshine our way!!!! But like Joni says: too much of that and we;ll be out tanning our white butts!!!!!!

Beautiful weather here. Sunny and 82 the last 2 days.

Got some much needed stuff done yesterday. I'd remodeled my bathroom a while back and was living with the mirror propped up on the sink, so my John came yesterday and hung it. Plus, he brought the chainsaw and finished cleaning up the down trees and limbs I could not do myself from the tornado. AND he hung a new closet door for me. 3 more things I can cross out on my list.

Then back to his house for the night. We spent some much needed and long overdue time together. Watched a silly, stupid movie "Dewey Cocks" last night. Today he wanted to go for a ride on the scooter but I'm still pretty banged up from the wreck so he fired up the 69 SS Chevy and we rode to town.

We talked about what we'll need to pack for bike week and decided I'll drop my car off at the body shop on Friday so they can fix it while I"m gone. Won't have to rent a car that way.

All in all it was a wonderful weekend and I still have 2 more days off. Work 3 then off for 10!

Started off in frustration trying to buy some t-shirts online. Wouldn't accept my debit
card on two sites. I just used it in Dec. to buy some presents. Thought I had it done. Left
the house and when I returned found an email from the second site. ERRRR! So decided
to put it on hold.
The weather still chillier than I prefer, but NO tornadic winds/storms moved through and
no earthquakes. Yes, we do have earthquakes in Illinois. Did a few things around the house.
Yesterday (Sun.) went to check on my folks. My brother and neice were there. She
had her 4-wheeler and gave me a ride. OMG......."slow this d--- thing down!" LOL So I asked her to show me how to operate it. Never had the opportunity to drive one. OMG.....
the d---- thing must be stuck on full throddle. LOL (Little secret......I LOVED IT!!!) Maybe
I get up to your level Doll/Jen. LOL
Also watch Nascar. Poor "Dale, Jr.", knocked out again. Where the hey was MY Jimmy
Johnson. 30+ ending!!!!! Gone have to talk to that boy.
Also watch a funny car race. A car driver by John Wilkerson and sponsored by LRS won.
Hey I know this company. A girl I went to school with married the L part of LRS. A multimillionaire who now owns the entire company. and the driver....... he owns his own
mechanics shop. Both out of little old Springfield. A little boost for our capital. Weeeee....
Cards and Cubs.......for some reason I'm just not getting into the baseball thing this year.
Maybe it's cause one son roots for the Cubs and the other for the Cards and I'm finally accepting my position as Neutral Mom. LOL
Off to work.....yeah it's Monday. Blah!
