"If one isnt grateful for being sober today--maybe one hasnt done enough research yet.

It is unfortunate that some of us play with fire until we are burnt to a crisp, and finally accept Step One,---- and continue to do Simply, what is suggested in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.

I played with fire for 7 years after my first AA meeting. Not a great journey.

Those who go back out and do some more research, have a lot to do with my

sobriety, today.

"But for the Grace of God, There Go I"

The other one my sponsor uses is "Let Attitude Be Your Gratitude."

There have been some days in my sobriety when others in my life wanted to go out a buy me a bottle. Attitude was garbage. They liked me better drunk than sober. :)

And yup Amanda. Youre right. "Dry Drunk."

Some days just suck. Thats just the way reality is.

Sobriety is a rose garden, but there can be one "H' of a pile of thorns, some days. :)

A drink wont take those thorns away, just makes a few more.:)

I hear a screeching in the kitchen.-- darned chicken isnt cooked yet. I smell burnt feathers.

Hafta get a recipe.

yep..  I am going to use that saying too...  "I did some more research",,,  and had to get drunk to remember the times when the results aren't the rosy ones that I was expecting...   and also  learn that my God didn't punish me but is accepting me back as prodigal child.

But it could have turned out differently...  what if...?  There is another saying... jump off the cliff and you are going to hit the ground...  best not to research that one first hand.. just take my word for it.
