Danielle mentioned, in a post yesterday, that I hadn't started a thread with a share recently. So, here I am and thanks for the nudge Danielle.
I hurt my neck in January, shortly after I got back from visiting my parents, and it's still painful and troublesome at times. It looks as if it is a disk problem and I'm just going to have to be patient and wait for it to start to really recover. But, it has been painful and restricted what I have been able to do until fairly recently. I'm still taking a fair few pills for it and it's great to be able to gradually start cutting back on those.
I've been pretty busy as I started university in February and that's keeping me occupied, but it's fascinating and I'm loving it. I should get the results back on my first assignment in about two weeks and I'm so nervous about them! But, I did my best and couldn't have worked harder.
My boyfriend is arriving tomorrow to stay with me for a couple of weeks and that is going to be great. He was meant to be here two weeks ago, but he was ill and couldn't travel. So, for the last few days I have been in full whirling-dervish mode trying to get right on top of the housework and my studies so that we'll be able to relax together for a few days when he first gets here.
I have still been going to my regular meetings and just chaired for the month of March at my home group which was a great experience.
I'm just so glad that I am sober one day at a time and things are more manageable now. It's all thanks to AA that this alkie is sober today.
Have a great day everyone ... we all deserve it.
Take care,
Carol

Woohoop, Carol! Lovely to catch up with you & see where & what you've been upto. I'm sorry to hear of your discomfort there. I hope that improves & you get some peace soon. You sound so busy! It also sounds like you're taking super care of yourself & tis all to your own success 1Day@aTime. It's touching that you have the humility to attribute it to AA. Sometimes we can take these changes for granted & not realise how a continuance in drink could result in who knows where. I'm really glad your life is filled with buzzing activity & much to show for it. Wishing you the best of time with your Beau.. Well worked for! Great to reconnect with you. Thanks for all your posts in the meantime ;) Loads of recovery love, Danielle x

So glad you are getting on with life, and sober!! School is such an awesome thing to embark upon when we are truly ready for something like that. So glad to hear that things are going well, that you are taking care of yourself, and that you have company coming. That is just terrific!!
Joni
