I have a problem brewing

My apartment manager recently did an inspection of my apartment. I have to admit my apartment was dirty, somewhat, I was in the process of cleaning when my apartment manager came in. What needed to be done was that the floors needed mopping and the frig needed some cleaning. The apartment manager said, "I am writing you up and submitting it for eviction." All I have to say is good luck trying to evict me. I have always paid my rent on time and my apartment stays somewhat clean. There is a problem with one of the windows in my bedroom, a plastic cap that holds the track in place is gone and the window will not go up and down, but that is not a problem I caused. I know the eviction process is long and lengthy and there has been no major violations of the lease. I have a good camera and take pictures of my apartment while I am living in it as exhibit A.

Hey glen
I would suggest getting a mop and scrubbing up the floor, tackle that fridge and then re-invite your manager in to see what a great job you did!!!! It will probably make you proud to do it too!!

Hey Glen,

Dang, I thought this was about brewing beer, my bad lol. smile

What lani said. Take away the guys complaint issue, ask him to reinspect (in writing). Ask him if he has an email address and send pics of the clean floor and refrig. If he's smart he'll get over it. If he's not, you'll have great evidence that you conformed, tried to work with him in a reasonable amount of time, and that it was him being uncooperative. Don't it let it get to you. It's typical to take stuff like that personal and get our feelings all wacked out of shape over it. That's exactly the kind of stuff that we tend to drink over. Sharing it in a meeting is a good idea as well.

Good luck with it.

Dean

I have mopped the floor today and soon as I rest up from that I will mop it once more just to be sure it is clean and then I will liberally apply wax to the floor and clean the fridge. Anyway the manager is coming back Wednesday to re-inspect the place. We are having HUD come out to inspect the apartments Thursday and Friday. Back to reality. Hud is pretty picky about cleanliness, but even pickier when it comes to the managers paperwork. Most of the two days will be spent auditing the books and paperwork. Any way I have yet to come up with what I am paying for rent by looking at my lease and adding the figures up myself. I hate to say it but I think someone added when they should have subtracted and if I am right it is $100.00 mistake in my rent. I do not mean I am paying too little either, but too much. With HUD if there is a mistake I am sure they will find it. Anyway I will re-mop the floor tomorrow and wax the floor Tuesday and clean the fridge on Tuesday. Wednesday is the dry run for the HUD inspectors, Thursday. Anyway, my apartment will be spic and span by Wednesday. Due to chronic fatigue caused by a severe clinical depression, I do not have the energy to just jump in and do 6 to 8 hours of cleaning in one day, so I am doing a little bit each day.

Hi. I am an apartment manager and we have some HUD rentals. RELAX, and clean up, and all will be fine. I am more concerned that the mess adds to your depression. I don't have depression, but when I let stuff get messy it makes me feel defeated. Then I let it add to my stress, and go for a drink. Be proud of your accomplishments, and be proud of yourself.

Amen, Robairto!!

My surroundings often tend to start reflecting how I feel inside. I am working on not being such a pack-rat either, which causes more trouble and more mess than that "hobby" is worth.

Glenn, you have the right idea. Take it a little at a time. Like they say in AA, "Easy Does It, But DO IT".

I jump into stuff too full-on, and then I am competely exhausted and out of whack for days. I know nothing of the word moderation. Today I overdid it. Ah well...
