Are you ready for this? I am not the only person in the world with pain and challenges, and there are many people worse off than I am. When I look at what I have, suddenly it's a lot harder to feel sorry for myself. The way I see it, I have several options today: 1) lie in bed, moan about my back, and miss out on the day; 2) get out of bed, obsess about my problems, be grouchy toward my family, set myself up to drink because I have it SO BAD (this also goes with option #1); or 3) appreciate this beautiful, sunny day, go to the playground with the kids, and go to my morning meeting with my sponsor. I think I'll go with door #3.
Please ignore about 98% of what I posted yesterday. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Jen... I think were on the same cycle!!!!! Enjoy the playground!!!! Im hitting the sack!!!! I'll dream of running thru the sunshine!!!!!
Hoping to get just enough sleep after working last night to enjoy my family too!!!

You are blessed..... !!!!! Isn't it wonderful how life can work in mysterious ways and gives us the opportunities to enjoy those blessings before our eyes. Have a good time!!!
Thanks, I can't seem to get out of the house to crawl under the greasey truck and get dirt and grease through my hair and on my face but it is the nicest day for a while and i will feel much better about myself when I take positive action instead of worrying, whining and procrastinating.
Your right it stinks. smoke, diesel, motor oil. I just put on my jacket and can't stand the smell. Oh did I mention anti freeze. Did a bad job on the truck so far. Fraid I'll break something I can't fix, need more tools. found a leak and I stink :)
Love how you put everything out there. It's wonderful that in your sobriety you can see what's going on and beause you're sober, like Dean said, you can decide what to do. And this is the true beauty, because you are sober you have a chance on making the right decision.
You're doing all the right things Thanks for being here
