She left the baby with his father to go to a meeting, and when she came home, he had shaken the baby and to make a long story short, the baby survived only about 2 weeks after the incident, due to fractures and brain damage. Some of you may have heard about this in the news. The mother has been very candid about this, as well as her affiliation with the Program. The family is trying to use this situation to bring light to the problem of SBS (Shaken Baby Syndrome).

Ok Joni, sorry to hear this. I got quite a shakin too but came back around. I kinda feel sorry for the dad too. Its certainly not easy killing your own. I do believe I'll pray for them both. I haven't heard about this particular one in the news but I'll keep them in mind.
Hi Joni, At work this week, a coworker relayed a story of a baby placed in a microwave for a couple of mins. The little one survived, but was burned. The father gets 25yrs in prison. It literally made me queezy. The thought of it still haunts!!!!! Why can't parents step back, sort of give themselves a "time out" when their little ones are "challenging" them?! Yes, of course, there'll be prayers!!!

My prayers and condolences go out to all. It's amazing that the family has found the courage and strength to try and help others by heightening the awareness of the dangers of SBS.
