My next tattoo

I've been wanting another tattoo... and I'm going through this thing right now changing my looks, going back to emo style which is what I like most... and my sponsor said not to make any permanent changes to my looks like tattoos until I'm a year sober. So the other night I decided as a 1 year birthday present to myself when I reach that point, I'm getting the chinese symbol for "Serenity" on the inside of my wrist. I told my sponsor about it tonight and she thought that was a good one to get and said after my birthday party she'd take me out to get it and even pay for it! So that's some good incentive lol I'm going to be dying for another tattoo by the end of my year, it's been several months since my last one and I'm already dying for another

I think that is a neat idea, LisaF....

I have sowme ink, too... and I wish I would've waited to choose what I really wanted... LOL I do have some 'drunken inks'....

I think that is neat how your sponsor seems to have truly taken you under her wing. My sponsor, whom I've had for 6 years now, is very very involved in my life, and at this point she is like family to both my non-alcoholic husband and I. What a beautiful thing!!

I  have a drunken tat or 2, but I do not regret them. They were 'obtained' at Sturgis and Daytona during bike week, so I do have a love for them. My next tat, coming soon, is going to be my sobriety date, right on the back of my neck. I can't wait!

Keep coming, LisaF, and your sponsor is right, I had to learn the hard way about permanent changes and decisions. Jumped in head first and almost drowned....

Keep the faith!

LOL, yeah I got a few of those too. The sad thing? I have this beautiful piece of two pegasus' fighting, mountains and castle in the background, a goddess face in the clouds? On my tummy, which was great when I could still wear a short top. Now? I gaze sadly into the mirror at my art work, which middle age has streeeeetched a tad................I had a proud phoenix I got (sober), and it is beginning to gaze down at my naval. I guess that means it has become more grounded.  Wren

I actually don't have any drunken tattoos, but I have ones where I went into the tattoo shop with a friend and just had to pick one out for myself and got it without much thinking about what I was getting, but I'm happy with them, I found something I absolutely loved and had to get. I only have 2 that have meanings behind them that I really thought about, "faith hope and love" in chinese on my ankle, and "love" in chinese on the back of my shoulder (my husband and I both got that one). I gave some thought to the moon and star on the back of my neck too and searched for a good pic of what I wanted before I got it. My other two were those impulse ones where I just found them in the tat shop and had to get them.

But getting "serenity" is to remind me of the serenity prayer mostly, it's really helping me a lot right now and it'll remind me that I'm striving for serenity with the getting sober. I've got a year to decide if that's what I really want, but I really think I'll wind up getting it.

Yeah, the cool thing about getting symbols like that? They mean something and they don't start sagging over the years. Hug, Wren

OUCH.

Somebody get a tattoo for my chicken-butt, will ya?  They are so pretty.  But my pain tolerance (sober) is nil.

Purchasing from this online store was a revelation for me. This was my first time ordering armrests online https://www.ggworkshop.net/products/tattoo-arm-rest-xxl-pillow-size-70x37cm and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service. The store offered convenient payment methods, and delivery was completed ahead of schedule. The armrests I received look stylish and professional and the quality is top notch. My clients have commented on how these armrests have improved their comfort while getting tattooed.
