Sorry, if it's not ok for me to post this here, go ahead and delete it. Just looking for some suggestions...
Does anyone else here like rap? My ipod's full of rap but a lot of it's old stuff... a few newer songs I looked up on the rap station's website and downloaded... looking for some new stuff to download... anyone know of anything good I should download?
I'll take suggestions on other kinds of music too, I've just been in a rap mood lately but after awhile I'll want something else... I've got a little bit of everything on my computer but not much new stuff, haven't downloaded much until recently when I got all my rap... I mostly listen to alternative or emo... some metal, especially speed metal but the only speed metal I really know of is Slayer... I'd love some suggestions on speed metal... Christian rock/metal is really good too... I really like MXPX as far as Christian music goes, punk rock, anything like that would be cool... But I'd love some metal Christian music... Emo, I usually like the lesser known bands... Anything similar to Tori Amos, Mazzy Star, Sarah McLachlan are good too...
Any suggestions? Anything but country, classical, blues, or jazz lol
hmmm...well? I do listen to a lot of Rap stuff...but thats because of a younger generation...playing it in the same house..
And Im the older person running around...trying to find volume controls...and screaming...um..I cant say it on here..:)
um...Sarah McLachlan? She played in the 70s didnt she? I vaguely remember those days....long hair..beard...bottle of wine in one hand...and a joint in the other...
And drivin a painted volkswagon...with no clutch...but it had a hole in the floor where one could pull a Flintstone...
Im in the over 40 generation....so...Rap ...to me is..."I hear you knockin..but you cant come in" Jerry Lee Lewis I think..
Have a nice day...

Me too listening to rap ambiently. I think I own two dozen or so rap CDs- and that counts the Beastie Boys compendium of work and Tupac, a little eminem, Snoop and Cypress Hill. I can only take it for so long tho- gets on my nerves and strikes me as a lot of unwarranted overconfidence, IMHO. I'm old too. :)
Presently listening to Jack Johnson, Sunchild's live album, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Blue Oyster Cult, and some old punk stuff. Kinda eclectic.
