THE "clubhouse" here has fallen apart, and the "roof" is falling down.

This MIP group is full of spam.

Our groups here were hit with trolling three or four years back.

There are only two groups left- which both have some keen members.

I met John 12 years ago, near his hometown in NC.

He told me his story- which I won't repeat here, out of respect.

John passed away 4 or 5 years ago.

In his home town he oversaw some accomodation that housed people in recovery, and also more or less started these groups, single handed.

The other stalwart here was Betty K. who oversaw the Alanon and ACA groups.

Betty also passed away a few years ago. I met her one time at her home group- which was in a veterans hospital in Lower Manhattan.

The people who are still around owe a lot to Betty and John, including myself. aww

Thanks for reading through... smile...
