I never was much for Anniversaries but posted here on my Anniversary for many years. .maybe 20-25. years. At one time a very active and lively message board... A member, I can't quite remember his name from my area St. Pete Beach Fl. was very dedicated to this site

When I left Fl. in 2004 sailing my boat around the world, the thought did occur that meetings would be scarce.. and they were.... but God meets you at the level of your needs...

In 2018 My boat sank in Am. Samoa. I lost Everything but not quite... a small book of meditations and a 24 hr book. This same book is now 50 years old...Jan. 13th a day not quite average. I sat on my balcony read the meditations...they seem to always change...reading the 24 hr book drinking my coffee and biting into the anniversary donut I bought the day before.  when finished with my readings, my meeting for the day, I opened the envelop and I now was holding a bronze medallion with the Latin "L" ..."that's as high as they make them. Curiously it resembled a one I thought. reminding me one day at a time.

I live in S.E. Asia occasionally a meeting in Bangkok...But don't worry...When you live by the 12 steps...that's really all you need, after long sobriety I found; but, my 24 hr book very Important....3 days before my 50th anniversary I finished my 7th Screenplay locked now in my company vault. I almost died 50 years ago in the snow...but given a new healthy life that I'm most grateful. I must add one more thing, very important to me....I conclude my prayer and meditations by reciting the prayer of St. Francis in the 11th step...MY DUTY IS NOT ABOUT ME BUT IT TELLS ME IT;S ABOUT HOW I CAN HELP OTHERS>>>>MY BUSINESS CARD WITH MY 2 WEBSITES and FACEBOOK PAGE SAYS: SEAMAN -NAVAL ARCHITECT- SCREENWRITER...many years in these trades......A lot of water under the bridge in 50 years...I need to remember to be grateful and ask for help each day coupled with good health I now have 50 years and 2 days..
