reviving friendships after making amends to them

Hello Everyone,

Last year I made several amends to people and I am wondering if these people actually accepted my apology. The reason I say this, is that after several attempts since then to keep in touch via email, these people have not replied. The amends I made concerned things that took place 35 years ago, so I do realize that it must have been a shock to some, when, out of the blue, I reached out to them to ask if I could talk on Zoom to make an amend.

The second thing I would like some feedback is that when I made the amend to two people, I did as my sponsor directed me to do, which was, asking at the end of the amend, What can I do to make this right?" (if I owe you money, tell me how much it is, and I will repay you). I needed to make the amend to these 2 people, since back in the mid-eighties, I was staying with my girlfriend a lot (sleeping in her room/eating) in a house she shared with these two aforementioned people. During the 8-10 months that I was seeing this woman, I never once contributed to any rent, utilities, food etc. Therefore, I wonder if these two people I made the amend to consider my offer to make things right, repay any money, hollow of not sincere, since it is virtually impossible for either of them to come up with a rough dollar figure.

Sincerely,

Big Zen
