hmm Hello my name is David and I am here from NV and I am an alcoholic.  I know that I am in the right place when I can speak about my experience with alcohol.  I am forty four years old.  I grew up pretty normal from the outside although inside alot of turmoil.  I got to drinking pretty early around sixteen.  I also found Pot and the combination of the two was truly intoxicating.  I found that age old remedy for all my ills.  I found later on that I began to use alcohol for all the wrong reason's and is why I identify as an alcoholic.  I found the gateway to a destructive bliss.  Through alcohol I got into harder drugs such as meth.  I dropped the pot and began a confusing mix of alcohol and meth.  I know that it took me straight into the abyss.  I got it all mixed up and could not fight the addiction anymore.  Self medicating with alcohol and meth to kill the pain slowly drifted me off to the oblivion of the addict not noticing all that I was losing or going to lose.

Although today I can say that I have a support network that only with AA can I sustain a healthy outlook and lifestyle.  I am learning to live all over again from breathing to eating and taking care of personal needs.

God bless all of you struggling today to grasp sobriety.

THX 2021

David!
