and I continue to be blessed by it all.  Aloha MIP AA Family recovery and thank you all who have participated in my 40 year journey.  My home group just on the outskirts of Hilo is the AA at the Bay Saturday and Sunday versions.  The groups was founded over 24 years ago by several double winners including myself, who wanted to keep our recoveries together and simple.  I am the only founding member on the island and being well supported and cared for by the many who attend each and every weekend to our open format; men, women, not smoking, no uncontrolled bad language and much peace of mind and serenity.

I co-celebrated by 40th anniversary with several other members and with the awesome winners from the East Side of the Big Island of Hawaii.  There was lots of spiritual intensity under the roof of the open air cabana we meet in and I continue be awed by miracles that attend with and for and to each other.  HPs abounded and mine was grateful that I was there.

Yes I have received a 40 year chip; in fact 3 of them with one being the enameled red, black and gold that one going into frame as asked by my wife.

Yes I have kept coming back and accepted by own miracles yet as I looked around the cabana and listen I was surrounded by many more miracles of men and women who have been willing to do what is required to get and stay sober.  How Blessed is my home town for the abundance of recovery we live and share with it.  We allow each other to share our stories (not the name) when we feel it will help another struggling want what we have.

One of the stories I share at times is about our GSR who one day after work decided to have a beer with friends he was driving back home after work.  He relapse after several years of attendance and that night left a best friend dead on the highway before being taken to prison where he started a meeting and continued in on his recovery this part being over 7 years long.  He is no married and has a family and participates in business honestly.  He and his  journey is a gift for me while he thinks the same of mine.

Keep coming back fellas.  We only work this one day at a time the very best we can and helping others.

(((((hugs)))) smile
