Bollox to it..

Iv got no alcohol here and i havent had any..

I now have 3 days sober..

So Alcohol, you tried to catch me?  Not this time my old friend!  No this time I stay with my new friend Sobriety.

Alcohol how many times did you bring me down and let me down?  Sobriety now helps me up and offers promises you never could.

Alcohol, for years you have held me down in a haze, so far Sobriety has held me UP for 3 days!

So... Sobriety will keep me wrapped up tight while again, Alcohol,  I close the door on you tonight.

Hey, Rob... do you know that to know you is to love you?   I really smile now when I see you creative writing expressions, both poetry and prose. and the pic of the Marmite smile?  It is also very expressive. nobody is perfect,,, but,, as I see you blossoming now that your head is a bit clearer,,  I can see a whole lot of good things in you.

God bless you,

amanda

((((((((((Rob)))))))))))) good going!  I think though tonight is going to be your real test with the weekend and all.  I remember not too long ago I had to flush my 15 year old's drink that I found under her bed.  That was a tough one for me being it was hers and I could just hear her yelling at me,but she never did. Also it was the first time I had been around alcohol or had it in my hand in  over 20 months!  It was not very pleasent and kicked up the old cravings.  Any way, today is a new day full of promis for all of us. Can't wait to see if you made it to the meeting and not had a drink today.  I sure hope so, you have come so far in such a short time.

Hi Rob,

While you are looking up the word, "prose",  look up the word "hero"  o.k.

Love, Toni

Well done Rob. Done that myself before, gone out to buy and then thought better of it and tipped a whole bottle of scotch down the toilet.

The longer you stay sober, the better off you are. just take it one second at a time. I like your strategy of making it to closing time and then.... it's out of your hands anyway.

Keep it up mate, your doing well.

Best wishes

Chris.

I remember the first time I got into real big trouble with alcohol I was 17 years old, me and a mate had been drinking from a litre of bacardi spice then went out to have a load of beer, I got attacked that night trying to defend my friend who got into a fight, I got my nose broke, when I sobered up, I was ordered to pour my barcardi away., I didnt, I couldnt do it
