The Full Serenity prayer...
Permalink

I was just telling Rob how I ran across this on the web. Some of you 'ol timers probably know about the other part to it. I just am really finding it useful lately. "moment by moment..." (Ps:I was not big on the 'God', or 'hereafter' when I first got sober, and never thought I would ever really "Come to believe..." But today I have learned this 'Day by Day, Moment to moment' stuff is wise advice for me.-paul

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever
Amen.
