Withdrawing from nicotine today

Been using snuff and/or cigarettes for about 28 years. Took my last dip a few days ago and smoked my last cigarette last night. This really sucks gang. Nicotine withdrawal seems to be a lot more difficult for me than getting sober 4 months ago was. Keep me in your prayers everyone.

Take it slow and with help...program, literature, sponsor...Higher Power...   I will always be withdrawing from nicotine and the practice of smoking.  I smoked when I drank and when I didn't and recently was triggered to drink again by cigarette smoke during a morning AA meeting.  No I didn't drink again yet my spirit wanted me to.  The practice of my compulsions seems always ready to pick up where I left off.  I went back to the meeting after a 3 week absence and yep there it was again.  I am going to remain powerless and find other meetings to go to.    Keep coming back winkwinkwink

That is a very positive decision, SP. For your health and for your loved ones.

Good work.

Hey SP, ...

Good job, ... My very best friend was a heavy smoker ... he changed to snuff cause he couldn't smoke in public anymore ... he developed cancer of the gums ... had surgery to remove teeth and a jaw bone ... he died a two or three years ago of the cancer ...

Praying for your success ...

Pappy
