I am looking for my friends that got me through my first few years of successful sobriety in AA. I got my early foundation in AA in 1985 at The Pacific Group in west LA. Wanting to connect with the people that gifted me my life back and feeling some nostalgia.
I am not concerned with relapses or even if you are reading this on your cell phone in a bar or behind bars. (But if you are with bars, I pray your obsession for the stuff is removed)
If you know anyone that was near or in The Pacific Group in west LA in 1985, please reach out to them with my post.
I am counting on the theory of "Six degreesof separation" and You to help us connect. I've tried web searches but no direct contact yet. I know that most of us do not get to stay in AA. But we were a relativity big class of about 45 or more people.
THANK YOU ALL for taking the time to read my post and any help you provide.

Hello David
welcome to MIP. I went to some meetings in the late 80's in the South Bay area, Hermosa Beach, Redondo, Palos Verdes, Manhatten beach....
I enjoyed 6am meetings at the South Bay Alano club on PCH and Hermosa blvd. Hope you find your friends. Have you checked with the local intergroup
in West LA? Might take a shot at calling and asking about them. Somebody knows something. Good Luck! and Stick around, we need your E,S, and hope
My gratitude started in 1979 and I didn't have the blessing or pleasure of being attended to by The Pacific Group though I am sure some or even many use to come up to the Central Valley Groups which got me in and held me down and convinced me to listen and practice what the winners were doing. I don't remember any of them now and am glad when I can remember my own front door.
I hope you find the people you are looking for as your recovery is certainly so very special. Good Luck and God Bless.
