Daily meetings, temp sponsor, plenty of prayer/meditation...havent been sober this long in years. I feel really good. So many physical and mental health improvements already. Only negative at the moment is insomnia. I can live with that.

Good for you Tipster, ... I also went through a long bout of sleeplessness (when I first got sober) ... bout 3 to 4 weeks worth ... then I felt amazingly great ... don't worry about the sleep problem, this too shall pass ... yes, it's a bitch but well worth it ... hang in Bro, you can do it ...

Hey TM, today is day 20 for me. Been doing mostly what you have: trying the 90 days 90 meets, talking with the sponsor, getting numbers of members to chat with, etc. Even though I'm eating more I even dropped a belt size and can more further without feeling winded.
Insomnia was lousy for me as well especially since the drink got me to sleep. What's worked for me is finding ways to keep my mind busy. Working puzzles, looking up stuff, moving around, etc. Basically make yourself tired. It also keeps you busy so when you get the jolt of desire you can have a distraction.
I 2nd what Pickle said ... Welcome 3TC ... congrats on 20 days ... and yes, you have some good suggestions ... me, besides the puzzles, I read a ton ... all the old AA stuff plus many other books ... once I got my strength back, I began walking a lot, which I highly suggest ...
Love you guys, Pappy
