Good one. Although if you are a low bottom type, you'd know even nowadays stuff like social media is completely off the grid when we are out there. Even a burner cheap $10 phone you put minutes on - can be sold or traded. It's like being driven to own nothing, go nowhere, and destroy everything. That's how it was for me anyway.
No different from all my friends mothers being addicted to soap operas when I was a kid, or whatever people get addicted or a routine into doing.
I got sober back when i went out, I had a book of phone numbers, and a couple of dimes, then quarters in my pocket in case I got squirmy and had to call someone from a phone booth. Not to mention dialing instead of push button.
It's much better now where I can call, text, type anyone all over the world. read a Big Book or any piece AA or inspirational literature. Or even order a latte at Starbucks and have it waiting for me to pick up. Thank God things change. That's all I can say.
