after I shared at th first meeting after I left detox , a osm told me "medicine an help you , there is no need for you to be in aa"

I ran into that same osm 2yrs later & told him there is nothing medicine can do , except for the meds I am on . This time "our aa Dr"

told me . "If you were on the programme you would not need meds. I said to him "when you become a Dr & then do your masters to

become a Specialist , then study my case history , then you can talk to me about medications.

Sara , it is up to you . If you Need meds Take them . As you may know if you are using them for a prop , they will mostly come back to

bite you , as we know "It's an honest programme". I don't care if you bs to me . But don't bs to yourself.

The reason for their uneasiness is the fact that misuse of it can cause addiction, overdose or in worst case death. Thu sit is always advised to be careful when dealing with such medicines.

I take pain medications, I have been in recovery for 14 years. I do not have a problem with them at all. I have a pain contract, that is what I would tell people. Make it between you and your doctor.
