Grateful for 8.5 years sober

Hi all. It's been a while, quite a while in fact. Hoping some of you who shared your es&h with me are still here.  I wouldn't be sober if it weren't for you! I started to go back and re-read some of my posts but decided against it until later (I have to admit I'm a little scared, I was such a BYOTCH 8 years ago).  My life has changed dramatically over these years. I FINALLY got a sponsor, took the steps and starting making meetings 5-7 times a week and it wasn't until then that I've been able to stay sober one day at the time. I sponsor and I speak once in a while these days (hard for me to believe).

I find my life turned upside down at the moment. I've recently been granted legal custody of my toddler age grandchildren, due to their parents drug addiction, and it's difficult for me to get to meetings. So, here I am. I need my "meetings" any way I can get them.

So, again, thanks to you all, old and new, for being a part of my recovery!

In love, Doll

Yep, that was one real BIG lesson for me to learn ... must ask God daily to help me out on it too ... else I can easily get 'off track', ... LOL ...
