...not so much for me and for a program sister who is going to be going thru yet another open heart surgery which comes with a lack of confidence from her surgeons. Her name is Robin and she has triple decades of sobriety. She is a mutually supportive sister and a double winner and is going over to Maui this afternoon to get to the surgery center where they will do the surgery.
You know when you stand next to someone who is having doubts and feeling fears? She is vacillating and I want my spirit to go with her as it should. We donated some money to cover some of her expenses and shared hugs after we shared the meeting. I told her about HPs abiding with me and the hospital staff at Tripler Army General Hospital recently regarding my brain surgery just so she will remember that HP never abandons us in times of need and we shared that hug and sent her on her way.
I woke up to my daily reading in one of our readers, "Daily Meditations" the title of which is Love and Fear as opposites and which is also a personal lesson from my own Higher Power. It is true for me...Love cannot exist in the same place at the same time as Fear...I know that experientially so we talked and hugged and my wife and I and so many others in the program are left to our commitment to this sister in serenity and sobriety
May I be so bold to ask my MIP Family also for prayerful support for "Robin Y" and then turn it over because she is special and HP will know who you are asking for.
Always in advance, Aloha Piha from Hilo Hawaii...a brother in recovery. ((((hugs))))
I will absolutely be adding your sister Robin in my prayers tonight ... may God be with her and restore her to good heath, may He be with the surgeons during her surgery ... I pray she will be back with you and your group soon ...
Love ya man and God Bless, Pappy
