HAVE YOU HEARD THAT THE CHATROOM IS TRYING TO DRUMB UP A BIT OF TRADE?.
WELL I FOR ONE THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA, WHY DOES NO ONE HERE GO ON THERE?.
I FOUND MY RECOVERY IN THE AL-ANON ROOM, BUT WOULD LOVE SOMETIMES IF I COULD COME HERE AND GET SOME DIRECT/INSTANT RESPONSE TO WHAT I NEED TO SAY WHEN I AM FEELING 'LOW' AS I SHOULD THINK MANY OTHERS DO TOO.
SO WHAT DO YOU ALL SAY?
AM I TALKING TO MYSELF?

I myself wouldn't mind doing live chat, but my work hours are such that I doubt many would be on when I do most of my posting-3 AM CST or so. I only have a little time before work to do stuff, like email, check the things I follow (sports, entertainment, etc.) and prepare for my day by playing a few games.
I have a feeling this chat would not evolve into what other chat rooms I've been in get down to-sex talk or calling names if you have a different view on something. But yeah, I'd like to take part in live chat-I am disappointed the live AA meetings are during my work hours (and my cheap employer took away our internet access! Never give someone something then take it away-I really miss it and resent being treated like a child and not trusted to use the net responsibly.)
But if this does get going, and I have time when I'm on, I would be interested. And I'd take part, if all would forgive my poor typing and/or slowness to respond. This could be very beneficial, I think.
i live in th UK so the times are sooo differnt, but like i say there is always someone in the Al-anon chat, would be good to have it here too, also the name calling and 'dirty' talk are moniterd by the OP's so thats OK.
have a chat with john or you may find someone called ShockTails logged on they know all about it...

When I first got to this site I tried to get meetings going,, and there was like one other person, or two, sometimes 3,,, but for some reason the people here message a lot but don't go into the chat room. The alanon board has a lot more people than this does.
I can try to pop into chat now and then over the next week or so to see if anyone is there, and we'll see what happens.
