What are some of your favorite recovery movies

One of my favs is "My Name Is Bill W." It's and oldie but a goodie. And, from what I know pretty accurate historically.

Here are some movies about addiction and recovery I put together on my site. The movies play well on laptops or desktops, but other devices not to sure. The movies are meant to be viewed by people in recovery or seeking to get clean and sober. Thanks, contact Mike P. at mphleg@gmail.com if there are any concerns with this post.

Here is my recovery movie site, enjoy!!!

I like the TV show MOM, the small women's group reminds me so much of my favorite women's meeting (and the ladies there)!

'My Name is Bill W.' is one of my favs too ... AND I love the show 'MOM' ... the AA portion of it seems to be very realistic ... and it's a funny show ...

Smashed was so realistic that it made me feel queasy to watch.
Flight, too.

I think Days Of Wine and Roses was a powerful film. Leaving La Vegas was a frightening portrayal of alcoholism.

I just watched Smashed. It was a pretty realistic depiction of someone crossing the alcoholic line. And it was realistic in that Kate's problems didn't all magically get wiped away in sobriety.
