and got a newer one to put inside of my ignition key holder. This one had an I at the end that signified I have just completed one more year assuring myself that I would not give my life up today to booze. My home group family is awesome and it is their recoveries that become the pedestal for my own. Mahalo Akua...Thank you God and AA for this sober life and to Al-Anon also for the serenity behind my smile. I have no excuse for not thanking my MIP fellowship cause you bring it in front of my awareness during quiet times when I just want to read. (((((hugs)))))
Would have been nice to have you in the group also Dean...some day... 40 and so fellows and fellas...newbies and ancients and I didn't have to do very much different than usual but to listen and be taught. My memory is very strong with this family as we have been on this journey including members from all over the planet and island. I know why I've stayed sober and how and when it started and where. I remember the lessons much of it verbatim from the literature and my sponsorship, not only what was said and how. I am a re-made man. My alcoholic personality suppressed so that the personality rebuilt in the program and guided by my Higher Power could re-arise. My most natural emotion today is gratitude and included in that Gratitude is my MIP membership and fellowship. I've never lost the compulsion to drink...its been replaced by a stronger compulsion to stay sober...grateful ((((MIP)))))
