On this day, Sunday, December 7th, 1941 at just before 8 a.m., Japan initiated an unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii ... (2 thousand killed, 1 thousand injured in a single 2 hour attack) ...

Although I wasn't born yet, the effect on my parents and all their friends was profound ... and for years to come, reverence was given to those who died that day ... and I wish to ask each and everyone here to take a moment out of their day and say a quiet prayer of gratitude for those serving to protect our 'way of life', our freedom to choose our own paths ... 

I think we are fortunate to be free today to seek help for our addictions, in part, due to a country that upholds its constitution ... there are many areas in the world today that don't offer this luxury to their own peoples ... We are truly blessed by God in this and many other ways ...
