WE CAN'T THINK OUR WAY SOBER

To the intellectually self-sufficient man or woman,
many A.A.'s can say, "Yes, we were like you--far too
smart for our own good.... Secretly, we felt we could
float above the rest of the folks on our brain power
alone."
AS BILL SEES IT, p. 60

Even the most brilliant mind is no defense against the
disease of alcoholism. I can't think my way sober. I
try to remember that intelligence is a God-given
attribute that I may use, a joy--like having a talent
for dancing or drawing or carpentry. It does not make
me better than anyone else, and it is not a particularly
reliable tool for recovery, for it is a power greater
than myself who will restore me to sanity--not a high
IQ or a college degree.

Hi Jen,

That's a good one for today,  there was a man that would always say in his shares "My Mind is like a real bad neighborhood, shouldn't go there alone".

So along those lines of thinking, I am going to go get my "Road less Traveled" book out and read  the Chapter on "Disapline". Must not have that one down, can't even spell it. HaHa.

My goal today is "do not think, Do".  There was a program I listenend to yesterday, and the Topic was "What does God mean when he says the word "Go"  It was interpreted as Go, do what you know inside you need to to, and keep doing it.

And I feel that this morning after spending almost two hours here at my computer, that I need to go and do my life, and what needs to be done in it today.

This MIP board is so inspirational today, and I thank you all, so much.

So God Bless, and have a good day,

Toni
