I just realized that for the first time since I have been on this board, two newcomers have day counts posted. That makes me feel really good and it reminds me of when I was newly sober. I hope other newcomers to this board will post day counts and share with us how you are doing.

And a big "WAY TO GO" to ready to change and Namaste78!!!!!

I remember starting out...everyday I didn't drink was amazing to me......It still is. I love to see it.

When I first got out of treatment and came to A.A., at the end of each day I was totally amazed that I'd actually stayed sober that day.  Even though I wanted to take credit for it, I knew deep inside me that it was God's doing -- not mine.  So, at the end of every day, I got down on my knees and thanked Him profusely for the miracle He'd given me.  26 years later...I still thank Him for that miracle each night.

Blessings to all,

Mike D.

I announced my day count all the way up to 365...In some ways it made the year slower, but it made me happy to be adding to that count every 24 hours.
