Just a thought. There was a disscusion about someone having to put their dog down. I haven't had a pet in so long that the topic wasn't that big of a deal to me. When I really started to think about it and bring it together with my program, the wheels started to spin. One guy said, "well you know, dog spelled backwards is God!" What?. But when I started to think about it, what other creature is always glad to see you? Keeps you warm? Is always there for you, especially when you're lonely. Never argues, always listens, has unending patience. You can yell at them and they will coward away but just change your tone and they forgive in a second with their tail wagging. Right or wrong they will protect you until the end. They ask for nothing except to be with you. I now think that one of the great gifts that god has given us is the dog. This furry creature can teach me a lot about lessons in life. I ask myself at times when I need direction, "what would my HP do"? I would also like to think, " what would a dog do"? Of course I would eliminate biting or peeing on their leg.
LMAO JimmyJ, ... especially your last sentence ... I love my dog and she has taught me more about life than most humans ... the list too long to type out here ... ... ... she is everything you describe except the 'protecting' thingy ... when danger appears, she hides behind me for her protection, LOL ... but I have no doubt that if someone were to attempt personal injury to me, she'd fight them to the death, hers or theirs ...
I have learned more about 'unconditional love' from this dog than from any one other source ... ... ... Thank You God ... ... ...

Phil? That walk five times a day means you have to get out of the house, off your butt, and get fresh air. And if you're walking or letting him out five times a day? chances are good there's no pee on your floor. The long walks I take with Frank? I take my camera. It's called contemplative photography :) Nobody short of my kids makes me appreciate God more than my Dog.
Someone, anyone...please take this dog that lives in this house. If it is true that all dogs go to heaven, is there a way for me to put him on stand-by so he can go sooner?
