Confusing Point....Bonanza Quote
Permalink

Bonanza series: Relatives were visiting the Cartwright's. They were "well-to-do" and one of them was making hurtful remarks about the lesser-to-do man at the table a woman had chosen to marry. The woman replied to her..... "I've had enough upbringing to know you don't make fun of people sitting down and having meals with you."

(I thought that was a great line until I got to thinking about it.....was the woman saying it's okay to make fun of them behind their back?)

That sounds like precisely what she was saying. Not particular spiritual, but within the norms of 'polite' society.

Sounds to me like an example of being part of this 'politically correct' B.S. ... ... ... an attempt to gloss over what is real and true and an expression of what's honest ... not that it should have remained 'unsaid' ... ... ... ...
