Sad to lose a 32 year old to alcoholism. Came to AA but remained in denial. Alcoholics Anonymous offers a life time solution to the problem of alcoholism, but few take it.
People with other life threatening diseases easily accept their plan of recovery, but not with alcoholism.

Cunning...Baffling..and POWERFUL

It still amazes me...how the percentage..that make it from one year to the five year mark is only 3%...Scary..

Since Ive been around? Ive seen them drop like flies..

Even on this board...since it started...

Looking for easier softer ways...

They go back out and die...wind up in mental institutions...or jail..

Yeah, denial almost killed me too ... and I too, know some who didn't make ... for whatever reason, they just couldn't give AA's spiritual program a chance ... all I can say is that they have taught me a great lesson, and for that, I am grateful ... but it sure is hard to watch when we know of the 'solution' ...
