Hello all. I lost internet service for a long bit but I've got it back. Good to be back. I hope everyone is doing well. Oh, and I celebrated 22 years on Saturday. :)
Pappy - how wonderful to see you. :) I am doing well, my friend. The body I lug around with me has its issues but fortunately, I am not my body. I have an appointment with the neurologist today who has cancelled two and a half hours of testing to discuss the results of the last two and a half hours of testing - so I might find out something significant today - or I might not. lol
The wife is wonderful - she's out playing with her horse at the moment. We are in a new place provided for us by her sponsor. It is an old trailer that she was going to burn down and so she's opted to gift its use to us - we are only responsible for electricity. I rigged up water and so we have running water for the first time in about eight months which is awesome - one can really take that for granted! Anywho - I'm off to get ready for the trip to town but I'll be around so we'll catch up some more. How are you?
Hey Angell, that is great news ... farm life can be humbling, for sure ... when I was little, our neighbors pulled water from a 'well' and they had the 'outhouse' and everything ... the well water was cool year 'round ... the outhouse had to be moved ever so often ... few people now-a-days can fully appreciate 'modern conveniences' for sure ... glad to hear you've got running water now and 'internet' ... I still pray for your improved health and for your wife ... I think she was having some 'issues' a while back too ... It's soooo good to have you back ... you were and are a great inspiration to me ...
My wife and I moved from Georgia back to Tenn. ... just now starting to get settled in ... we needed to be closer to our 2 handicapped sons, the commute was getting unbearable ... out of the blue, God answered our prayers by my wife getting transferred with no cut in pay ... I just got home a few minutes ago from helping my 'wheelchair bound' son ... he's very independent, but there are just some things he must ask for help with ... he hates to ask, just like me when I knew I needed help with my alcoholism, you know how it is ... life is good and God is Great!!! ... praying for His 'Grace' to be with you and your wife too ... hang tough man ... love ya ....

Pappy, you have been blessed no doubt. I'm glad that you are able to be so close to your sons - they are fortunate to have such loving parents.
I just made it home from the doctors and I think I have enough diagnosis's for life. :) Today I was given a diagnosis of Myasthenia gravis, Neuropathy, Radiculopathy to be added to the obstructive sleep apnea, heart disease, fibromyalgia, chronic kidney disease etc. etc. Amazing how much can go wrong and we can keep moving forward. This body really is a marvel - to think how much abuse I put it through and it keeps on ticking even as the pieces fall off.
I know, that you know, just how powerful a 'conscious contact' with God truly is ... my dad was in the hospital once and the Drs. said his organs were shutting down and for us to make final arrangements ... they said he was beyond return, there was no hope he'd live more than a day, maybe two ... we prayed to God that if dad could stay with us and be a spiritual inspiration to others, please allow us some more time with him ... Dad got better, and lived another four years, passed away @ 84 ... Drs. were at a loss to explain his recovery at the time ... Dad's primary Dr. said, and I quote, "There must have been a power greater than us that brought about his return to the living. We have NO explanation for his recovery, he should be passed on right now." ... ... ...
So, I continue to pray for God's Will to be done, whether I understand how that works or not ... and there are two other stories I have of other people that are still with us that shouldn't be, according to some very notable Drs. ... ... ... ...
I take this to be a lesson of maintaining 'conscious contact' with our Higher Power, just as the BB tells us we should strive to do ...
(r.e. the 'sleep apnea', ... I have severe 'sleep apnea' and was put on a CPAP machine at night to breathe correctly, ... wow, it has made me feel like a new man, literally ... most of my physical problems have disappeared since being on this machine ... more later ...)
