"Pain is one of our greatest teachers. Though I still find it difficult to accept today's pain and anxiety with any degree of serenity -- as those more advanced in the spiritual life seem able to do -- I can, if I try hard, give thanks for present pain nevertheless."

With the right 'mind-set' (spiritual guidance), pain can steer one in the right direction ... though this has not always been the case with me ... in the past, I have been guilty of letting it be an 'excuse' to drink at will ... the problem here ??? ... that ALWAYS led to more pain, every time ... ... ...

Thanks Mike ...
