I caught a bad vibe at work. The owner fired his next 2 high up executives. Then I noticed program size dwindling. All along there have been some company culture issues I didn't like. Mainly that we beg people to stay in treatment when they are toxic for the environment and if they don't want recovery....they aren't ready...period....right? BB even states this....Spend time on someone who is ready.
So my coworker announced she was quitting to go work for her old boss and told me it was a good sized raise in pay. She then told me they were looking for male therapists. Okay, given all that was going on, I interviewed and now I have a new job starting next week with a bout another 7k per year raise.
On top of this, my wedding stuff is getting real. The premarital counseling sessions are done, the caterer is booked, the reception hall, the hotels, we have already put thousands of dollars into this. There is going to be a "soda bar" for people to make all kinds of soda from seltzer and flavorings. I agreed they can have some liquor to spike things and we may have some wine for people with dinner. Not really my concern. I don't need a dry wedding and nobody on the list would get sh*tfaced anyhow. I'm not getting cold feet or anything but I am like "OMG I really am getting married." I think part of me even in my mind thought "It's not married for real cuz we are gay." But it is married for real and this wedding and honeymoon and all that is gonna be expensive for real too lol.
So these are changes, but they are both good ones.

I guess Congratulations are in order, pinkchip...so a big CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!! Sounds like some big things are happening in your life. And pinkchip, I'm not gay. I do have gay friends who have gotten married and they are as married as heterosexual couples to me....so Congratulations, again!
Congratulations to you, Pinkchip! Wow! Those are very big changes. I know that things will work out good for you because you have a good program of action. Have fun planning things and take care. Blessings, Mike D.
Holy change city, PC. Congrats on the new job! And I didn't know you were getting married! That is fantastic news, and I love the sound of the soda bar. It sounds like a lot going on, but you've got this. Hugs.
