"Selfishness--self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles." pg61 AA book.

When my prayer went from petition to thanksgiving that's when God started to do things for me. It was only AA's 12 steps that taught me how to find power and pray. From utter powerlessness in step 1 to a spiritual awakening in step 12 is a remarkable journey. Sobriety was the first gift, given to me by God. I was amazed as to what I could accomplish with this gift. Never again was I to travel that painful road of alcohol addiction.

Today God has poured out His abundant grace upon my life. His grace is sufficient for me. With such amazing grace how can I ever be selfish again.
