February 27

"Today, I don't have the home, the husband, the three cars in the garage. I have one old clunker that takes me to meetings. I am not financially well off, but I have a peace of mind I never dreamed possible. My needs are always met -- and even some of my wishes. I am truly happy for the first time in my life. Thank you AA."

I remember thinking years ago that I could only be happy under the right circumstances.  The 12 Steps brought me happiness under all circumstances.  Whodathunkit?

I have heard others share about losing everything and not having nearly as much financially, like "stuff", which they thought would bring them happiness; however, they are happier now with less "stuff" than they were with more, because they are sober now. Thanks for posting, Mike B.
