Hi Ricky! Glad to have you here with us. Keep candy in your pocket. I love sugary things since I stopped drinking. There's a lot of sugar in Alcohol. I used to be able to walk right by a chocolate cake and not look back. Now- not so much.
Yes, Yes, Yes, ... ... ... without a lot of sweets, early on especially, I don't think I'd have made it ... Mike B is absolutely correct, keep sweets in your pocket ... I did for the first 2 years ... Tootsie Roll mini's or some rock candy did the trick for me ... they helped reduce the cravings dramatically ...
If you're a health nut, or a health nut wannabe, then start putting 'Honey' in your drinks (milk, coffee, tea, ...) ... the sugar in honey is already digested, so it's easier on your system and a whole lot better for you than processed sugar ... (okay, the sugar is digested by the bees as they make the honey ...) ...
Glad you're here Bro and God Bless, Pappy

Hi Ricky, It's perfectly normal to crave lots of sugar at this point. So did I. Your body needs it right now, but your sweet tooth will eventually go away when everything balances out physically.
