My alkie obsessive compulsive behaviour has led me to keep a log over the past few weeks. it don't matter what time I go to bed. I get out again wide awake after exactly 5h48m. I've tried getting up for a pee and going back. I've tried getting up and doing something boring. I've tried just laying there. No change. dammit I'll havta get a dog so I got a reason to be up at stupid o'clock.

Last three days I have been waking up at around 5:00-5:30. This is the most life I have seen for that early on this board, and of course instead of coming here, I chose to smoke some extra cigs and drink some extra coffee. Darn! We could'a had a creeper sleepers' meeting!

Cycles of the moon and the earth... we are part of the universe - just expressing itself as Grace, Roger, Bill and Natasha for a while... sleep with the setting of the sun and waking with it is natural. I like to follow my natural self to feel balanced and flow like a river instead of a crashing wave...

Good afternoon all, From the time when I was in my early teens and needed to get up at 4:30 AM to milk cows and feed the cattle, horses, and hogs (then get ready for school), I've been getting up at that time all my life.  The early morning hours are when I'm at my best and most alert and creative....and that's when I'm most receptive to God.  4:30 AM is the perfect time for prayer and meditation for me.  By 8:00 in the evening I'm pretty much useless.  A nap sounds good right now though.  Mike D.

Bill...my dogs don't appreciate me getting up as early as five...and my wife doesn't like that time either....I'm no so sure that God gets up as early as 4:30 and I will start my conversation with God when ever I arise...simple instruction out of the 3rd step cause God always wants me to keep it simple...."Place me where you want me...tell me what to do".   I'm ready now I can go take a pee.    lol   (((hugs))) smile
