This is fast and won't cut into too much more of your time. I added a bag of shredded coconut (Dollar Tree) and 3/4 bag (you can add whole one) of semi-sweet chocolate bits to the a box of chocolate cake mix and other things the box calls for (3 eggs, 3/4 cup oil, 1 cup water--I think that is what it says). Then used the already made chocolate (of course) icing in those plastic containers. Took it to an AA meeting and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I don't like to brag too much on myself, but have to say that this was the best cake I have ever made. I am baking another one now.

Oh, Jerry......I tried to cut and paste a pic of it and even after I made it so much smaller I got a message from this post that "your message is too long please shorten it." Guess it was so rich even this board couldn't handle it.
I don't know why I felt the need to eat another piece of it last night ! My weight is going up. My SO said he loved it, but he chose "store bought" candy over this last night. Sure wish he would have eaten what I did, as that is way too much cake in one day for me to eat! And now I am hungry for it again, after trying to take that pic, and smelling and seeing the chocolate. Why eat when you can have I'm (Oh me!)
Oh me oh my....well then get ready....I had a small piece this am ....a medium piece after lunch and another medium piece with vanilla/cherry ice cream after my meeting tonight. I'm going to have to forget this darn recipe, Pappy, because I can't stay out of the stuff! I am sure there is something about gluttony being a character defect
There's going to be ALOT more of me to love at this rate. (And guess what? I got another box and more icing at the store tonight......well....they were on sale. )

Gluttony ??? ... ... .... EVERYTHING in moderation is what I was told ... (and that's a hard pill to swallow for an alcoholic ... )(I still want more, more, more ... )

The cake is history, gone, poof! Yeah, I was really good with the moderation, Pappy...LOL! And I have to make Valentine cupcakes for the meeting this week and I am hoping to make some heart sugar cookies.
Be sure and try not 'mess'n them up' so you have to leave them at home, LOL ... ... ... I was always good at eating my way through any kitchen cleanups, LOL ... I've licked bowls and mixer beaters so clean I didn't have to wash them ... Hey, .... who knew ???
